I have tried so many tips and tricks to reduce bloating quickly, but there’s one fruit that always does the trick. Bloating is totally natural and fluctuates depending on what you’ve eaten and drank, but it always seems to pop up at the least convenient times. And sometimes, you just need it to go away ASAP. This was a struggle until we learned this secret trick, and it’s a “Did I just do a week straight of Pilates?” level of a trick.
Before doing my lingerie or bikini photoshoots, I always love some good de-bloating tips and tricks, so my trainer suggested eating papaya for a few days before a shoot. I was skeptical at first, but once I looked into the benefits, I was hooked.
Digestion
A large cause of bloating is having poor digestion. When your body isn’t processing your food correctly, you’ll notice an increase in bloating. This could be caused by a food intolerance or simply eating too much fiber. Papaya has a special enzyme papain that helps aid in digestion like a natural probiotic and will help to break down bloating – fast.
Hydration
A lot of times, bloating is caused by eating too much sodium. So if you notice you’re extra bloated the day after eating something high in salt, that’s totally why. The trick is to drink more water and eat hydrating foods because the extra water will help flush out the excess sodium. Papaya has a high water content, which will help boost your hydration. Some other foods with high water content are watermelon and cucumbers.
Anti-Inflammatory
Inflammation in the body can have some negative consequences, from bloating and joint pains to heart disease and diabetes. You can see why it is important to include anti-inflammatory foods in your diet. Well, papaya is one of them! Eating foods that are so rich in antioxidants like this help to fight off that inflammation causing bloating, and possibly even more serious conditions down the road.
While bloating is totally normal and nothing to be ashamed of, there are just sometimes when you need it gone! I’ve been testing out this papaya trick for debloating for the last few weeks and it has made such a difference in feeling confident in my summer bikini body!
Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this trick for de-bloating before and share with us what other de-bloating hacks you love!
