new FB “fan-page” access

The new FB “fan page” access is wayyyyy cool!

For those of you who have both a personal page, where u add and request friends, and also have a “fan page” which are labeled as Facebook “pages” this new Facebook upgrade is perfect for you.

I was always kind of bummed because I couldn’t write on other people’s walls from my “fan page” and can only write on the wall of my fan page with my fan page icon. – Before you had to be logged into your personal page and become an admin and that is how you accessed it. NOW, there’s a way to become the fan page profile and write on other people’s walls, get notifications, and write messages!!! WILD isn’t it??!

first you log into your regular profile

Then you go to "account" on the upper-right hand corner and press Use Facebook as Page

then you have full access to your page - using your "friend" page as you are logging in -(obvi you have to be an admin for the "fan page") - but you have fully become i.e. "Arika Sato - the page"

This is how it looks from my end as an admin logged in from my friend page and I have now access to my fan page!

You can always go back to your original friend profile whenever you feel like going back to "account" and clicking "switch back to Arika (your personal profile page name)"
